Our LVN and RN classrooms feature 40 flat screen computer stations with plenty of desk space for our students to place their text books and all other materials on.

Nursing instructors have access to large dry erasable white boards as well as multimedia technologies such as ceiling mounted projectors that can be connected to a computer and televisions with DVD/VCR capabilities.

Above all, Unitek College prides itself on our "real life" scenario nursing laboratories. Also located on the same premises and exclusively available to our students, Unitek College's nursing laboratories feature the latest and greatest nursing technologies, all very carefully assembled to closely match an identical real world working hospital room.

Our newest "permanent residents" of Unitek College are "The Sim Family." These amazing new manikins cost around $30,000 each and they are worth every penny. They feature the ability for our nursing students to perform various procedures and in the process experience the sights and sounds that mimic that of a real patient. This includes a pulse that is displayed on an EKG machine and can actually flat line, as well as crying sounds from the Sim Baby.

Nursing instructors bring in their enthusiasm and creativity. Course syllabi and lesson plans are easy to follow. The skills lab at Unitek College provides nursing instructors with the opportunity to introduce new skills to the students and provides the opportunity to practice. Clinical sites are where everything comes together. Theory and skills lab practice come alive when students are introduced to the patient.
